Osmo Polyx Hard Wax Oil Raw

Osmo Polyx Hard Wax Oil is a nearly invisible wood finish ideal for use on interior wooden floors and furniture. One of Osmo most popular products the original hard wax oil is stain resistant, water repellent and abrasion-resistant. The use of natural oils and waxes protects your interior wood without cracking, peeling or flaking whilst allowing the light character of the wood to remain. Along with the easy application and no need for primer this really is the go-to product for wooden floors and furniture.

Always ensure the surface is clean and free form grease, dirt, and frost.

• Clean old microporous stains (wood oils).
• Old paints and lacquers must be completely removed this can be done by sanding back or using a suitable chemical stripper.
• Sand the surface carefully, starting with a coarse sandpaper and finish fine grade. For flooring 120-150 and for furniture 180-240.
• Before application ensure all dust has been removed.

Note: Polyx-Oil Effect Raw is slightly white tinted and protects lighter coloured wood species nearly invisibly. On dark/reddish wood species, Polyx-Oil Effect Raw is visible as slightly white chalky surface.

Always test a small area of the surface to be treated before application to ensure you are happy with the finished look.

• Stir well before use.
• Osmo Polyx Oil is ready to use and does not require thinning.
• Use a Osmo Soft Tip Flat Brush, floor brush or microfibre roller.
• Apply thinly working in the direction of the wood grain and spread well.
• Applying excess product may lead to a white chalky surface.
• Allow to dry for 24 hours under good ventilation.
• After drying quickly apply a second coat, thinly.
• If re-coating one coat should be sufficient.

Cleaning

Clean the surface regularly with a duster or vacuum, for spillages and a more intensive clean use Osmo Wash and Care with a damp mop. Avoid over saturating the surface with water. For furniture use the Osmo Spray Cleaner.

Maintenance

For cleaning stains and stubborn scuff marks on the satin finish use Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner.

When signs of wear become visible on the surface re-apply one coat of Osmo Polyx Oil to a cleaned and dried surface.

Q. Is Osmo oil suitable for flooring applications?

A. Polyx Oil Raw is ideally suited for producing special effects on wooden flooring in the interior. Through the application of Polyx Oil Effect Natural / Raw, light coloured is protected nearly invisibly - the natural wood colour and grain are not enhanced. Polyx Oil Effect Silver/Gold, in contrast, is a decorative coating for darker wooden floors.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Incorrect Item

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
