Johnstones Woodcare Decking Stain in Warm Teak will add a protective barrier against weathering, UV rays, and general wear and tear on your exterior decking. The wax-enriched formulation helps to prevent the wood from drying out, splitting, or becoming discoloured. The stain is designed to penetrate the wood fibres, providing a rich and long-lasting colour. The stain also offers water repellency, which helps to prevent moisture from penetrating the wood. This feature is particularly useful for outdoor decks that are exposed to rain and other forms of moisture. Johnstone's Woodcare Decking Stain is designed for easy application.

The key to a perfect finish is in the preparation of the decking, by falling these steps you will be rewarded with a beautiful new look decking.

• Bare wood that has not been pre treated should be given a coat of a wood preserver to ensure longevity.
• Previously painted or stained wood will need to stripped back with a paint and varnish stripper to remove all traces of the previous treatment.
• This stain can be applied over timber previously treated with creosote products providing the creosote is well weathered.
• Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust and grease.
• Any nail or screw heads in joinery should be set below the surface and concealed by a suitable wood filler.

Always test a small area to ensure you are happy with the finished results, colours may vary on screen.

• Always stir the paint well, if you are using more than one tin ensure to mix together for a consistent colour.
• Apply using a brush, due to the larger scale of decking we recommend using a wider width brush.
• Work along the grain of the wood.
• Apply two coats to bare wood and timber treated with preservative allowing four hours between coats.
• The surface will be touch dry in 1-2 hours, allow the paint to cure before returning furniture.

Always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin, the drying time of the decking stain may vary depending on factors such as temperature and humidity.

All orders placed on a working day before 3pm will be dispatched on the same day for next working day delivery. Orders placed before 3pm on Friday will be delivered on Monday (excluding bank holidays). Orders placed on weekends and Bank Holidays will be dispatched on the next working day. All orders have a charge of £3.99 for express delivery.

You can now choose some special delivery options. 

• AM Delivery: Get your order by 12pm
  If placed on a working day before 3pm, the AM Delivery will be dispatched on the same day for Next Working Day delivery. 
  Orders placed before 3pm on Friday will be delivered on Monday AM (excluding bank holidays). Orders placed on weekends and Bank Holidays will be dispatched on the next working day for delivery on the following AM. All orders have a charge of £12.99 for AM delivery.

• Late Cut-Off: Get an extra hour to place your order for Next Working Day delivery.
  Orders placed on a working day before 4pm will be dispatched on the same day for Next Working Day delivery. 
  Orders placed before 4pm on Friday will be delivered on Monday (excluding bank holidays). Orders placed on weekends and Bank Holidays will be dispatched on the next working day. All orders have a charge of £5.99 for Late Cut-Off delivery.

• Saturday Delivery: Get your order on Saturday
  Option available on Fridays. Orders placed on Friday before 3pm will be delivered on Saturday. All orders have a charge of £9.95 for Saturday delivery.

Exceptions

We do not deliver to the Channel Islands or the Republic of Ireland

We always recommend getting samples or contacting us for free of charge colourcharts. We do our best to represent colours as accurately as possible however screens variations and different surfaces can alter this. Unfortunately in the event you do not like the colour we are unable to accept the product back if they it has been opened.

Faulty Items

If you find a fault with your product, we can offer a full refund or exchange within 30 days. We test every product that is returned to us, sadly if a product is found to have no fault we cannot refund this and the you will be given the option to have this returned to you. Please get in touch to discuss these options. If you find fault after 30 days of purchase you may wish to contact the manufacturer directly as they will be able to offer support with the product.
