Overview
Dulux Trade Weathershield Textured Masonry Paint is a fine texture emulsion, based on an acrylic resin. This water based masonry paint gives a fine, granular finish, allows a higher build on exterior masonry and contains a fungicidal to inhibit the growth of mould on the paint film. Fast drying time of just 1-2 hours and re-coatable in 2-4 hours.
Dulux Trade Weathershield Textured Masonry Paint is ideal for exterior masonry and rendering including concrete, roughcast, pebble-dash and brickwork normally suitable for painting. Do not paint common or fletton bricks or parapet, freestanding or retaining walls below ground level damp course, as it may be difficult to stop moisture penetration and consequent coating failure. Painting this type of wall may also increase the risk of frost damage and spalling of the brickwork or stonework

Preparation
Ensure that the area to be painted is clean, dry and free from debris. Treat any areas affected by mould, lichens, algae and moss with Weathershield Multi-Surface Fungicidal Wash. Make good minor defects with an appropriate Polycell filler. Use a sand and cement mix for larger holes and cracks. Allow to dry.
Application
Note: always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin
Stir the paint thoroughly before use. New or bare surfaces should be sealed with a coat of 5 parts Weathershield Textured Masonry Paint thinned with 1 part water.
Generally, 2 full coats of Weathershield Textured Masonry Paint are required, but on previously painted surfaces in good condition, where similar colours are used, 1 coat may be enough.
Apply with a brush, roller or conventional spray. Do not use in extremes of temperatures below 7ºC or during rain, fog or relative humidity above 80%.
Coverage will vary considerably according to the roughness and porosity of the surface.
