To ensure optimal performance, appearance, and slip resistance, surfaces must be properly prepared before applying Coo-Var SUREDECK. Follow these steps for best results:

• Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, sound, and free from contaminants such as dirt, oil, and grease.
• Physically remove moss, algae, lichen, or fungi a power washer is recommended for effective removal.
• After cleaning, treat the surface with a suitable fungicidal wash to help prevent regrowth.
• Preparing New Wood: Sand new wood to open the grain and create a suitable surface “key” for the coating to adhere to.
• Preparing Previously Coated or Painted Surfaces: Clean and degrease the surface thoroughly.
• Sand to create a uniform key for the new coating.
• Remove all loose or flaking material.
• Any bare or exposed areas should be treated as new wood and prepped accordingly.
• Make sure the area is completely dry before applying Coo-Var Suredeck® Anti Slip Decking Protector.
• Always test a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure good adhesion and compatibility.

To get the best finish and performance from Coo-Var SUREDECK, it's important to follow proper application practices. Here’s how to do it right:

• Mix well before use to ensure an even consistency.
• Only apply when the temperature is above 10°C and not expected to drop during the application or drying process.
• Ensure the surface has been properly prepared (see Preparation Instructions for details).
• Apply a minimum of 2 coats directly to properly prepared wood.
• Use a brush or roller and make sure to brush out thoroughly, working the product well into the surface.
• Take care not to allow the product to pool in grooves or gaps, especially in decked surfaces.
• Allow each coat to dry fully before applying the next.
• Apply directly to tanalised, softwood, or hardwood decking after proper surface preparation.
• Do not thin the product apply as supplied for maximum slip resistance and protection.

Q. How many coats of Coo-Var Suredeck® Anti Slip Decking Protector should I apply?

A. For optimal protection and slip resistance, it is recommended to apply a minimum of two coats of Coo-Var SUREDECK. Ensure that each coat is well brushed out and not left to pool in the grooves of the decking.

Q. Can I apply Coo-Var Suredeck® Anti Slip Decking Protector to untreated or new wood?

A. Yes, Coo-Var Suredeck® Anti Slip Decking Protector can be applied directly to suitably prepared new or untreated wood. Just make sure the surface is clean, dry, and properly sanded to ensure good adhesion before application.

All tinted paint purchases are final and non-refundable. If you're unsure about your selection, please refer to the product listing or contact us for guidance before ordering. Once mixed, tinted paints cannot be returned or refunded, regardless of delivery delays or changes in circumstances.

While we aim to meet delivery timelines, we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, or other external factors.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Incorrect Item

Faulty Items
