Rustins Strypit Paint & Varnish Remover

Rustins Strypit Paint & Varnish Stripper has been reformulated to deliver powerful performance without harsh chemicals. This non-caustic, dichloromethane-free gel is designed to remove multiple coats of paint and varnish quickly and effectively, making it ideal for both DIY projects and professional use.

Suitable for use on wood, metal, glass, stone, and masonry, Strypit works best when applied liberally and allowed to penetrate after two applications. Its thick gel consistency makes it especially effective on vertical surfaces, staying in place without dripping, while the distinctive orange colour clearly shows where the product has been applied.

Strypit offers a safer, more controlled way to strip back surfaces, with the added convenience of being water and solvent washable, helping make clean-up straightforward once the job is done.

Apply Strypit carefully and methodically to ensure effective removal of paint or varnish. Work in suitable conditions and do not allow the product to dry out during the stripping process.

• Brush on a thin initial coat to provide a key.
• After 10 minutes, dab on a second liberal application.
• Test the surface with a knife before scraping to ensure the paint or varnish has been fully penetrated.
• Do not allow the surface to dry out; apply more Strypit if necessary.
• Apply a further liberal coat, working it well into the blistered and softened paint.
• Leave for a further 35-40 minutes.
• The paint or varnish should now be loose and easy to remove; if not, apply more Strypit and repeat the process.
• For curved surfaces or mouldings, use a wire brush or steel wool.
• Apply 2 or more liberal applications as required, depending on the finish and substrate.
• On old paint or very heavy coatings, Strypit may be left on longer to maximise effectiveness.
• Apply ideally between 15-25°C.

However, due to their bespoke nature, please allow up to an additional 5 working days to accommodate any potential courier delays or delivery issues before receiving a refund or replacement.

We strongly suggest customers avoid booking tradespeople until they receive their order. Next Day Paint will not be held liable for any costs incurred due to order processing errors, delivery delays, or other issues that may result in financial loss.

We offer a 14 day money back guarantee for all goods shipped correctly that are not required. If the item is not required, please send the item back for a full refund in its original condition, unused with its original packaging. Please note return for unwanted item is at your own expense.

All tinted paint purchases are final and non-refundable. If you're unsure about your selection, please refer to the product listing or contact us for guidance before ordering. Once mixed, tinted paints cannot be returned or refunded, regardless of delivery delays or changes in circumstances.

While we aim to meet delivery timelines, we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, or other external factors.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

For non-tinted products, we offer a 14-day money-back guarantee. Items must be returned unused, in original condition and packaging, at your own expense.

Incorrect Item

If we have sent you a different item from what you ordered, we will be happy to organise an exchange for the correct goods at no extra charge to yourself, please get in touch to organise this.

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
