Polyvine Decorators Varnish

Polyvine Decorators Varnish is an acrylic varnish that is used to protect interior and exterior decorative surfaces including wallpaper, paintwork, fabric, wood and plaster work. It allows delicate surfaces to be highly resistant to water, stains and heat as well as absorbing UV radiation to provide fade resistance and protection from weathering. It also contains a biocide will keep your surface free from mould, algae and fungus making it ideal for use in bathrooms and on exterior projects.

Ensure the surface to be coated is clean and free from grease, wax or polish

Always try the varnish on a test patch before embarking on the project to ensure you are happy with the finished results. Do not use in temperatures below 5°C, cooler temperatures will slow the final cure time

• Apply using a good quality synthetic brush or conventional spray or low-pressure spray (rollers are not recommended).
• Stir well before use.
• For porous surfaces, dilute the first coat with 10% water.
• Allow to dry for 2 Hours.
• Apply 2-3 coats for Gloss and Satin finishes, for a flat finish apply 1 coat of Satin with a top coat of Dead Flat.
• If cissing occurs, rub onto the affected area with a damp cloth to break the surface tension and re-apply.
• Allow the final coat to dry for 2 hours, it can take up to 5 days to cure.

Q. Can Polyvine Decorators Varnish be used over wallpaper to protect it from spills?

A. Yes it's very effective on both painted and wallpapered walls, we recommend to use this varnish when wallpapering bathrooms or areas that are subject to more wear.

A. Yes, the Decorators Varnish is hard wearing and resistant to heat, stains and water which makes it ideal for household items such as coasters or side tables.

We offer a 14 day money back guarantee for all goods shipped correctly that are not required. If the item is not required, please send the item back for a full refund in its original condition, unused with its original packaging. Please note return for unwanted item is at your own expense.

All tinted paint purchases are final and non-refundable. If you're unsure about your selection, please refer to the product listing or contact us for guidance before ordering. Once mixed, tinted paints cannot be returned or refunded, regardless of delivery delays or changes in circumstances.

While we aim to meet delivery timelines, we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, or other external factors.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Incorrect Item

If we have sent you a different item from what you ordered, we will be happy to organise an exchange for the correct goods at no extra charge to yourself, please get in touch to organise this.

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
