Add a timeless mid-sheen finish to your furniture and up-cycling projects. Rust-Oleum have formulated a satin finish furniture paint that is easy to apply, hardwearing and durable. On most surfaces, you have no need for a primer and it doesn't require finishing with a wax or lacquer meaning you will be able to complete your project sooner and with less fuss. We also highly recommend this paint for nurseries and playrooms as it's Toy Safe! We also have tester pots available so you can ensure to find a colour you love.

Ensure the surface to be painted is sound and free from dust, dirt, and grease.
- Completely remove any wax or oils from the surface. Wax may be removed by thoroughly cleaning the surface with white spirit.
- We recommend that bare wood should be sanded before painting to create a key.
- This paint does not stain block, where bleeding may be an issue, including knots, prime with a suitable stain blocking primer such as Zinsser BIN Primer Sealer.
- It is also recommended to use a primer/sealer on very porous surfaces.
To ensure you are happy with adhesion and the finished colour we always recommend performing a test patch on a small inconspicuous area of the surface to be painted.
- Stir thoroughly prior to use.
- This paint may be applied by either brush or a short nap mohair roller.
- When applying by brush ensure to work in the direction of the wood grain.
- Apply 2 coats allowing 4 hours between coats.
- Full hardness will be achieved 4 hours after the final coat.
We recommend always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin.
Q. Do I need a primer/undercoat for Rust-Oleum Satin Furniture Paint?
A. No, you do not need a primer/ undercoat before using this product. You will need to just ensure the surface is clean, well keyed and free from dust and grease. As this will ensure the paint will fully adhere to the surface.
Q. Can I apply Rust-Oleum Satin Furniture Paint on top of varnished furniture?
A. No, you must ensure previously varnished, painted or treated furniture is clean and sanded as the paint will struggle to adhere to the surface with old coatings still on the surface.

A. Yes, this is certified toy safe to - EN71-3:2019

We offer a 14 day money back guarantee for all goods shipped correctly that are not required. If the item is not required, please send the item back for a full refund in its original condition, unused with its original packaging. Please note return for unwanted item is at your own expense.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.
