Ronseal Diamond Hard Floor Paint

A hardwearing floor paint that is ideal for wood, concrete and stone floors in your home. Available in a range of 6 colours this paint will add rich colour to your floor in only 3 coats. The Diamond Hard formulation offers long-lasting protection that will resist daily scuffs, spills and scrapes. It's also ideal for busy homes as it is dry in only 4 hours so it will have minimal disruption to your daily life.

Please note this product is not suitable for use on self-levelling compound or powder floated floors.

Always ensure the surface to be painted is clean and free from any dust, dirt and grease that may affect adhesion.

Concrete and Stone Floors

• Newly laid concrete has to be left a month to set. After a month prepare the floor by brushing with a wire brush and removing any dust.
• To prevent cracking or blistering seal with a suitable stabilising solution. Alternatively add 10% water to the first coat of Ronseal's Diamond Hard Floor Paint.
• Previously painted stone or concrete can be brushed with a wire brush and then wiped with white spirit.

Wood Floors

• Sand the floor with a 120 grit sandpaper to leave a smooth surface.
• Vacuum any dust and then wipe the floor with white spirit.
• Fill any holes with a suitable filler and seal any knots with a knot blocker such as Liberon Knotting Pale.

We recommend performing a test to ensure compatibility with the surface to be painted, always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin.

• Stir the paint to ensure all the pigment is thoroughly mixed.
• Apply using a brush or roller and start in the corner that is furthest from the door.
• When painting wooden floorboards focus on two or three at a time to avoid overlap marks and paint in the direction of the wood grain.
• Allow the first coat to dry for 4-6 hours and apply a further 2 coats.
• After 4-6 hours you can walk across your floor and carefully move furniture back in. However, we recommend allowing 72 hours before subjecting the floor to heavy use.

Cleaning

General cleaning will keep your floor in good condition, vacuum and sweep up any dirt that may cause scratches and use a damp cloth to clean up spillages.

For a deep clean, a floor cleaning solution will keep your floor looking as good as new. Do not use household cleaners or detergents as these could deteriorate the surface over time.

Repair

If the floor does get damaged it's easy to repair, simply sand down the area and apply a thin coat of the paint.

Delivery - All orders placed on a working day before 3pm will be dispatched on the same day for next working day delivery. Orders placed before 3pm on Friday will be delivered on Monday (excluding bank holidays). Orders placed on weekends and Bank Holidays will be dispatched on the next working day.

Returns

We offer a 14 day money back guarantee for all goods shipped correctly that are not required. If the item is not required, please send the item back for a full refund in its original condition, unused with its original packaging. Please note return for unwanted item is at your own expense.

All tinted paint purchases are final and non-refundable. If you're unsure about your selection, please refer to the product listing or contact us for guidance before ordering. Once mixed, tinted paints cannot be returned or refunded, regardless of delivery delays or changes in circumstances.

While we aim to meet delivery timelines, we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, weather, or other external factors.

We recommend ordering samples or colour charts before purchasing. While we strive to represent colours accurately, screen settings and surface types can affect appearance. Opened tins cannot be returned due to dissatisfaction with colour.

Incorrect Item

If we have sent you a different item from what you ordered, we will be happy to organise an exchange for the correct goods at no extra charge to yourself, please get in touch to organise this.

Faulty Items

Faulty items can be refunded or exchanged within 30 days. All returns are tested, and if no fault is found, no refund will be issued you'll have the option to have the item returned. For faults discovered after 30 days, please contact the manufacturer for further support.
