Sikken Cetol Novatop is a low solvent, one coat finish for the use over Cetol Novatech on windows and doors. It is a translucent, semi-gloss finish that brings out the beauty of the wood's grain. The Cetol Novatech/Novatop two coat system results in reduced application when compared with traditional 3 coat woodstain system without compromising on durability and performance. Due to it’s high solids formulation which gives a thicker protective film with less coats and a five year maintence cycle it will save both time and money.

Tinted Colour Information	Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Sikkens tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay. Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order.

Preparation

Make sure the surface to be treated is clean, dry and free from any dust, algae, fungi or moss.

• Cetol Novatech should be used as a base stain for joinery items before coating with one coat Cetol Novatop

• Novatop must be applied within 3 months of applying the Cetol Novatech base stain otherwise further preparation may be required

Application

Before applying stir the product thoroughly and test a small area to ensure colour and adhesion. Colours can vary dependant on surface to be treated.

• Do not apply when there is the risk of rain or when temperatures are below 5°C or above 30°C

• Protect from frost and rain until dry

• Always ensure product is fully mixed before and during application to ensure consistency in colour

• Do not thin

• For best results use a good quality, long-haired, soft bristle brush

• Cetol Novatech should be used as a basestain for joinery items prior to coating with one coat Cetol Novatop

• Apply along the grain in even strokes and avoid over brushing to produce an even overall colour

• Pay special attention to areas of exposed grain, tops and bottoms of doors and undersides of cills

• Allow a minimum of 12-24 hours drying time

Note: Always follow the manufacturer instructions found on the tin.
