Overview

Suitable for interior wood and metal, Dulux Trade Ecosure Undercoat is a professional quality, quick dry, water based undercoat with good adhesion and opacity. It has been formulated to have a significantly lower environmental impact than standard Dulux Trade paints, without compromising on performance. Available in Pure Brilliant White, it will cover up to 16m2 per litre.

    Preparation

    Before using Dulux Trade Ecosure Undercoat, make sure that surfaces are clean, dry, free from all defective or poorly adhering material, dirt, grease, wax etc. TGive previously painted surfaces a thorough rub down, using ‘wet flatting’ methods where possible, then wipe off with a damp, lint free cloth. Treat knots with an appropriate knotting solution. When painting new and bare wood apply one thinned coat of Ecosure Undercoat. Prime all bare metal with an appropriate Dulux Trade metal primer. Fill any surface defects with the appropriate filler.

    Application

    Note: always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin.

    If you are applying this water based undercoat onto a surface that has been previously coated with a solvent based paint, thorough prep will be necessary.

    For best results, apply the undercoat with a decent quality synthetic brush such as the Purdy XL Elite Monarch rather than a natural bristled brush.

    Thinning is not usually necessary, unless you're using the undercoat as a primer on bare wood, in which case, thin with up to 1 part clean water with 10 parts undercoat.

    Stir well and apply 1 - 2 coats. If you're coating windows and doors, they should be kept ajar until the undercoat is thoroughly dry.


    Aftercare & Storage

    Do not use or store in extremes of temperature and protect from frost.

We do our best to represent colours as accurately as possible however screens variations and different surfaces can alter this. Unfortunately in the event you do not like the colour we are unable to accept the product back if they it has been opened.

    Faulty Items

    If you find a fault with your product, we can offer a full refund or exchange within 30 days. We test every product that is returned to us, sadly if a product is found to have no fault we cannot refund this and the you will be given the option to have this returned to you. Please contact us to discuss these options.
