Barrettine Paint Panther Paint & Varnish Remover

Paint Panther is a highly effective paint and varnish remover by Barrettine. It works quickly to strip numerous types of coating. The gel consistency clings to vertical surfaces, making it perfect for working on vertical or less accessible areas. It's easy to apply and is Methylane Chloride / Dichloromethane free.

Areas to be stripped should be clean and clear from dust, debris or any substance that will restrict contact witht the surface

• Ensure working areas are well ventilated at all times
• Protect any areas you do not intent to stripe to ensure there is no damage to the surface
• Paint Panther is a crossive substance, please ensure to wear suitable clothing including gloves and saftey glasses

Note: Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.

Note: Always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin. We recommend to test a small patch first before applying to the entire surface

• Apply in temperatures between 5 and 25 degrees celsius.
• Shake the container well before applying the Paint Panther.
• Protect all close areas not being stripped with suitable sheeting.
• Do not score if the previous coatings are thought to contain lead.
• Pour a quantity into a suitable container, and replace cap.
• Apply by brush, add a liberal amount by dabbing onto the coating surface and allow to blister, which usually occurs within 10-15 minutes, then apply additional product, rubbing well into the formed blisters
• Allow to penetrate for a further 15-30 minutes before trying to remove a small area using a shave hook or stripping knife.
• Use a stiff bristled brush for awkward areas. Only apply to an area less than ½ metre square at a time.
• Collect removed waste, for example on a newspaper, and allow to dry for a couple of hours before disposing via appropriate waste disposal route. Some local authorities have special facilities for disposing of waste paint and coatings.
• Wipe the surface clean with white spirit or methylated spirits. Water can be used but it may raise the grain on certain wood substrates. Allow to dry.
• Finally rub with fine sandpaper or a stainless steel pad before redecorating.

• AM Delivery: Get your order by 12pm
  If placed on a working day before 3pm, the AM Delivery will be dispatched on the same day for Next Working Day delivery. 
  Orders placed before 3pm on Friday will be delivered on Monday AM (excluding bank holidays). Orders placed on weekends and Bank Holidays will be dispatched on the next working day for delivery on the following AM. All orders have a charge of £12.99 for AM delivery.

• Late Cut-Off: Get an extra hour to place your order for Next Working Day delivery.
  Orders placed on a working day before 4pm will be dispatched on the same day for Next Working Day delivery. 
  Orders placed before 4pm on Friday will be delivered on Monday (excluding bank holidays). Orders placed on weekends and Bank Holidays will be dispatched on the next working day. All orders have a charge of £5.99 for Late Cut-Off delivery.

• Saturday Delivery: Get your order on Saturday
  Option available on Fridays. Orders placed on Friday before 3pm will be delivered on Saturday. All orders have a charge of £9.95 for Saturday delivery.

We do not deliver to the Channel Islands or the Republic of Ireland

We do our best to represent colours as accurately as possible however screens variations and different surfaces can alter this. Unfortunately in the event you do not like the colour we are unable to accept the product back if they it has been opened.

Faulty Items

If you find a fault with your product, we can offer a full refund or exchange within 30 days. We test every product that is returned to us, sadly if a product is found to have no fault we cannot refund this and the you will be given the option to have this returned to you. Please get in touch to discuss these options. If you find fault after 30 days of purchase you may wish to contact the manufacturer directly as they will be able to offer support with the product.
